Health and Travel Insurance
Most students are not entitled to publicly funded health services while in New Zealand. If you receive medical treatment during your visit, you may be liable for the full costs of that treatment. Full details on entitlements to publicly-funded health services are available through the Ministry of Health, and can be viewed on their website at http://www.moh.govt.nz.
The Accident Compensation Corporation provides accident insurance for all New Zealand citizens, residents and temporary visitors to New Zealand, but you may still be liable for all other medical and related costs. Further information can be viewed on the ACC website at http://www.acc.co.nz.
International students must have appropriate and current medical and travel insurance while studying in New Zealand.

Accommodation
We are very proud of the superb group of local families who host our students and we feel that the quality of the home stay accommodation is one of our most attractive features. Of course the beauty of New Zealand as a place to study English is legendary, and our families are real families, not impersonal boarding houses. Staying with a friendly family and studying in a good school gives our students total immersion in the language and that brings real progress fast. We have permanent staff responsible for the careful selection and continuous assessment of our families to ensure a very high standard. During 2006-2007 accommodation with a family is likely to cost from $170-210 a week. Students wishing to make their own arrangements for accommodation are, of course, free to do so.
Free Visa Application and Renewal
We provide our students with free visa application and renewals service. A $70 application fee is charged by the New Zealand Immigration Service on every student visa renewal.
Full details of visa and permit requirements, advice on rights to employment in New Zealand while studying, and reporting requirements are available through the New Zealand Immigration Service, and can be viewed on their website at http://www.immigration.govt.nz/.

For students who enter New Zealand for the first time, we have a range of settlement services which include:
