Climate and weather

Jack: I hate spring in Auckland. The weather is so unpredictable.

Martha: Yeah, one minute it will be sunny as, and then the next minute it’s raining.

Jack: Tell me about it! The temperature is like that too. It will be nice and warm so you put on your shorts and t-shirt and then half way through the day it gets mega cold. The weatherman can’t make up his mind whether it's summer or winter.

Martha: That’s what spring is like. I guess it is an in between season. It's good though, because spring's arrival means that summer is just around the corner.

Jack: Winter this year was really cold as well. We even got hail a few times, and that is unusual.

Martha: Yeah it was this year. What is going on? The weather is crazy. The mercury was not that low, but the chill in the air was unbearable.

Jack: Crazy all right, I think that maybe global warming has something to do with it.

Martha: You blame everything on global warming. We might just be having crazy weather, that’s all. Gosh, not everything is to do with global warming.

Jack: It’s a serous problem Martha. If we ignore it, it won’t just go away. We need to look after the planet so that it’s a good place for our children to grow up in.

Martha: Whatever, Jack!
