Brief details of our academic staff are as follows:

Introducing our Principal Kevin Moncur - MA (Applied Linguistics), BA, BTh, Dip SLT ATCL (Speech), CTEFLA

Kevin Moncur is a New Zealander by birth. He resides in Auckland with his family in the same part of town he grew up in and is the principal of St George. He is an associate of Trinity College, London.

Kevin has extensive experience of working in an educational context. He has over 20 year's education services experience having taught English or ESOL in New Zealand, Australia, China and the Cook Islands. Mr. Moncur is a specialist in teaching and qualified IELTS teacher with more than five years of experience. His previous role was as a Foundation Studies tutor for Waikato University.

Devika Mudaliar Muttu - BA (Management & Econ), NCAE (L4&5), STTC, Programme Leader of Business and Computing Dep.

Devika Muttu is originally from Fiji, now a New Zealand citizen and resides in North Shore, Auckland . She is married and has two children.

Devika has 6 years of teaching experience in the Business and Computing discipline. Also, she has experience being an NZQA Moderator for the New Zealand Diploma in Business papers and NQF unit standards. Her specialist teaching areas are Computing, Business Administration, Management and Economics. Devika also has 9 years of administration experience.

Prior to coming to New Zealand, Devika was a secondary school teacher in Fiji.

Anna Fullerton - BA (Hons), CELTA

Anna was born in Argentina to British parents who traveled extensively around Europe before settling in England . She arrived in NZ in 1980. Anna graduated from West Surrey College of Art & Design , England , with a BA Hons in Ceramics and Jewellery. In NZ, in 2000 she gained her CELTA certificate, and has since taught all ages and many levels and many nationalities.

Soraya Hogan - BA, Cert TEFL

Soraya is a New Zealander who has lived in NZ all her life. She is married with two children, aged 9 and 12. Soraya has a BA degree in French, German and English, and a Certificate in Teaching English. She has been teaching English for 3 years. Prior to this Soraya had a 14-year career in the government sector, where she gained wide experience, which she has been able to utilize in her teaching.

Isabel Scotter - MProf (Language Teaching), Dip. Tchg, BA, Cert TESOL

Isabel has a Master’s in Language Teaching (First class, Honours), a BA majoring in Linguistics and a postgraduate Diploma in Primary Teaching. She has extensive teaching experience both public and private schools in New Zealand and overseas in Korea , Japan and Malaysia . She has an ongoing interest in the various cultures of the world, has traveled widely and is a keen learner of both Spanish and Korean.

Jane Buttery - Cert TEFL, Teaching Diploma

Jane is a South African Kiwi who immigrated 10 years ago with her husband and three children. She has been teaching on and off for 30 years, and teaching ESOL for the past 5 years.

 

 



Our Advisory Group

Mr Bruce Ullrich - OBE., MBA., B.Com., ACA (N.Z.), F.Inst.D ( U.K. ).

Bruce is a Company Director with a background of international business and tertiary education in New Zealand covering many years, including membership for 20 years of the University of Canterbury Council . He was a former Student President, President of the Alumni Association of the University of Canterbury and the Massey University MBA Alumni Association. He was also a member and Chairman of the Board of Christchurch Boys' High School, one of New Zealand 's leading secondary schools. In recent years he has also conducted management workshops at the University of Canterbury .

His other interests have been as Vice Chairman of the Organising Committee of the Xth Commonwealth Games, a member of the New Zealand Olympic Committee for 20 years including 5 years as Vice President and he has been Chef de Mission of more Olympic & Commonwealth Games Teams than any other New Zealander. He also spearheaded for more than 10 years a possible bid by New Zealand to host the Winter Olympics.

He has been a member of several International Business Councils and his business interests cover China where he has established excellent relationships with several Provincial & Municipal Governments. His Company, the FCS Global Network was recently invited by the Beijing Municipal Government's Science & Technology Commission to enter into a JV to provide a range of professional & business services to international companies wanting to do business in China . He is Vice Chairman of the JV Company, Beijing KeChuang Internationa l Business Service Co. Ltd. with its Head Office in Beijing and a network of more than 20 offices throughout China .

Gavin McCardle - BEd, BA, Dip SLT

An English Language education specialist, he has taught at universities in Australia and New Zealand. He is a founding member of St George. He is also a founder and managing editor of English-To-Go.Com.

Rachel Ellis - MA BA Dip SLT Dip FLT (Spanish)

A university academic specializing in second language learning, Rachel now develops and produces international on-line learning materials for students.

Felicity McCardle - MA, BA, BEd, Dip SLT

An Academic and Business English education specialist who has taught at universities in Australia, Tonga and New Zealand, she is also a founder and editor of English-To-Go.Com.
