Language courses

Tuition Fee:

Tuition Fee is calculated on 'per paper' basis.

National Certificate in Business Administration and Computing (Level 3 or 4) - 18 weeks

This cost of tuition covers teaching, use of our library, and subscriptions to online learning sites. All students would be liable for $25 student protection fee as all tuition fees are now held by Public Trust.

International Students:

All international students must hold a valid New Zealand student visa for studying at St George Institute of Learning.

Full details of visa and permit requirements, advice on rights to work in New Zealand while studying, and reporting requirements are available from the New Zealand Immigration Service, and can be viewed at their website at New Zealand Immigration Service. Alternatively, please visit Services & Support section or refer to our Enrolment Coordinator for assistance.

Refund Policy

Courses of 3 months or more duration:

  • If you withdraw 28 or more days before course begins Full refund
  • If you withdraw within 27 days to 1 day before the course begins Full refund, less $NZ500 processing fee or 10% of fees paid (Registration fee plus tuition fee) - whichever is lesser amount.
  • If you withdraw within the first 8 days of the course Full refund, less $NZ500 processing fee or 10% of fees paid (Registration fee plus tuition fee) - whichever is lesser amount.
  • If you withdraw after the eighth day of the course No refund is provided.

Courses of less than 3 months duration:

Courses of one to 34 days duration:

  • If you withdraw within the first two days of the course you will receive 50% of the total fees you have paid. If you withdraw after the first two days no refund is made

Courses of 35 days to 3 months duration:

  • If you withdraw within the first five days of the course you will receive 75% of the total fees you have paid. If you withdraw after the first five days no refund is made.

Policy on Holding Student Fees

St George student fees are held in a trust account managed by an independent trustee in the event that a course is unexpectedly terminated early by St George. If that happens, you are entitled to a full refund of your fees from this trust account for the proportion of the course that has not been provided.

Other Course-Related Costs

Textbooks, dictionary and stationery will cost about $200. Bus fares for field visits during the course may also amount to about $150. Daily travel costs from homestay to St George may cost about $99-$159 per month.
