Driving

Driving – (Vehicle) Car accident

Jack: I’m so sorry I’m late; you will never believe what just happened. I crashed my car.

Jill: What??

Jack: Yeah it was really bad! It happened on the motorway. I was getting on at the Beach Rd onramp. You know what it is like in peak hour traffic.

Jill: Bumper-to-bumper

Jack: mmmm it was taking ages to get on. Traffic was crawling the whole way.

So I finally got to merge into traffic.

Jill: Yeah and what happened?

Jack: Well I was indicating behind and this car was speeding up my rear, did not notice me and plowed

straight into me . Totally his fault. Merge like a zip buddy.

Jill: Oh my gosh ! T hat is horrible. It’s so bad, I can’t believe that happened. I’m so s o rr y . Are you ok?

Jack: I’m ok, but my car isn’t. It’s totalled

Jill: Oh no, Do you have insurance?

Jack: Luckily I do. But I also have to pay out on the other guy too, because I was changing lanes so it’s also

my fault , w hich is so not right man. I was running out of onramp I needed to merge into the traffic

otherwise I would have crashed into the barrier.

Jill: How much excess do you have on your insurance policy?

Jack: It’s only $500, so that is good and I think my car will be written off, so I will get a pay out . My car is

o nly worth like two grand, but it’s insured for five. So I will be able to get a way better car

Jill: Well there is a silver lining in this cloud then.
