Friday afternoon is always fun at St George – every Friday we either organise an activity or show a movie,
providing an entertaining way for students to practise their English and see more of Auckland.
Recent highlights have been mini golf, surf school, ice-skating and a cooking contest – and we are always
open to students’ suggestions!
Every second week we show a movie as our Friday activity and have a great selection – new releases, old
favourites and some New Zealand movies too. We show movies with English subtitles so that students
can read along with the dialogue, and have a teacher watching the movie to answer any questions about
new words or phrases.

Sightseeing trips around New Zealand (2 or 3 days) can be booked through Action Tours almost any weekend. More specialised tours for students can be booked through Rangi Tours upon request. Just ask at reception if you're interested.
